Saint Seiya Omega: Umakoshi's current occupation seems to be getting his team to take an established franchise and give it a new spin. It's Saint Seiya's turn now, after Heartcatch Precure's success. In fact, that one worked so well he's taken some souvenirs: Saints will now transform ala magical girls. Amazing! If the leaks are true, this is going to have some really crazy and out of place stuff like a highschool for Saints. I'm not sure how to feel about that, but I was sold the moment I read Umakoshi's name. Whatever silly excuse of a plot it has won't be worse than any other SS storyline, so I'll just shut up and take my stylish Saints.

Uchuu Kyoudai: Now this is interesting. For starters, a seinen getting a +50 episodes adaptation isn't exactly common nowadays, even if we're talking about an award-winning work. To make it even better, the staff has a decent number of talented people: the Gainax legend Hiroshi Kato, Cowboy Bebop's Sound Director and Katanagatari's main scriptwriter. All of them under a fairly decent studio like A-1. And the story itself isn't any less unique. It flows seamlessly from bizarre comedy to serious scenes. The comparisons with Planetes are quite spot-on even beyond the setting, though this is more down to Earth with its themes. So to say, less tripping balls about how big and scary space is. The characters are endearing and make the slice of life parts really enjoyable. What's there not to like? Really, nothing called Space Bros can be bad.

Hiiro no Kakera: Reverse harem by DEEN, directed by the Hetalia/Gravitation dude. Not sure why would anyone watch this but then again I'm not good at being a fujoshi.
Kimi to Boku 2: This is more homo than the previous one and probably about as ~good~.
Yurumates 3D: Despite the title, not actually 3D. Newbies adapting a random 4koma. This might not even get subbed.
ZETMAN: Someone had to jump on Masakazu's train after Tiger and Bunny's success, I guess. Despite quite enjoying his romance stuff, I'm not sure if he's the right man to write a compelling tale about superheroes. Not like we'll ever find out, considering it's confirmed to be 13 episodes long. For an ongoing series with 16 volumes so far. I can already hear the fans of the manga crying over the upcoming original ending. Sakuga fans ought to give it a try because Takaya is involved, though for all we know he could just have adapted the character designs.

Quen's Blade Rebellion: Tits and stuff.
Naruto SD ~Something about Rock Lee's Youth~: Only listing this here to say this kicked Bleach out of TV. I heard its popularity was going down but didn't know it was that bad.
Ginga e Kikoff: I like football so I physically cannot enjoy football shows.
Gakkatsu: Another 5 minutes long flash thing. The promo pic has an angry girl and a bunny.
Arashi no Yoru ni: Adaptation of a furry book for children. Really fucking furry.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead: The first season was quite nice whenever it sticked to comedy. Needless to say, it didn't for the most part. If those spoilers I'm hearing are true, this will have even more painfully stupid plot and less enjoyably stupid comedy. The only positive thing I can think of is that it's going to be 10 episodes long.

Lupin III ~Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna~: It's Lupin. With Koike in charge of the visuals. Sayo Yamamoto directing. Could it be any more perfect? Yes, it could, if Mari Okada wasn't there at all. For those who don't know, she's to blame for stuff like BRS, Anohana or Iroha. Not quite the best writer, as you can see. It's been proved she can do a good job when she's surrounded by talented people so my hopes for this show are still really high. It's Lupin, goddamn.
Medaka Box: Lots of people have been asking just how dead is Gainax. And they probably will keep doing so after shis show has aired, since adaptations are hardly the way to judge this particular studio. The best possible outcome would be disregarding the source and just animating some ridiculous battles, since we know for a fact that Gainax's corpse is still capable of outputting amazing animation. I've never been sure what to think about Medaka, most likely because the series itself doesn't know either. Maybe when it settles on one genre I'll decide.

Shirokuma Cafe: Something about a polar bear running a café.
Acchi Kocchi: Yet another 4koma. I think the gimmick in this one is terrible designs.

Sengoku Collection: Mandatory Sengoku show. No idea why brains base is doing this, no idea why Kenji Gotoh is directing this, no idea why some of the Penguindrum staff is working on this.
Sankarea: The source material is, while really gimmicky, still enjoyable. Definitely something to give a try to if you're interested in stories about zombies, though it's bound to feel unoriginal if you've read a fair share of those. Not a fan of love solves everything either, but lately the series has been going beyond that so there's still room for a decent ending. And now imagine there's a rant about DEEN ruining everything here.
