But I'm going by this list of cartoons and nothing is stopping me. Quite the weird project: gruesome historical manga adapted into anime, airing at 7pm. If that makes sense to you, please explain me what's happening. Utsunomiya worked on the first episode... doing cheapass CG. Sakuga fans rioted. The show is airing, why would you want a PV. Rinne no Lagrange S2: The first season had everything a successful mecha show could ever need: a crazy protagonist, good production values and an excellent soundtrack. Unfortunately, it went out of its way to be about anything but robots. The inane fillers hurt the show incredibly, since they didn't only keep Madoka away from her mecha but also gave the spotlight to absolutely dreadful side characters. This wouldn't be that important of an issue if it were just a couple episodes, but when over half the show is absolutely pointless crap you start wondering what the focus was to begin with. But fear not as there is still hope. The show ended on a high note and now we're facing a brighter future. A future with robots. As long as the more serious tone it's supposed to have doesn't drown the fun the best parts of S1 had, we're in for a vastly superior sequel. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7_zKZMwCq8 Tari Tari: One would expect the Iroha staff to return for what looks like its spiritual successor, but apparently they're too busy with the movie - and the recently announced Zetsuen no Tempest in Ando's case. This means we'll have a director debuting for TV anime, but more importantly... Mari Okada is NOT writing it! As far as I'm concerned, this alone makes it better than Iroha already. Being a genuinely good show, though, will take more than that. P.A. appears to specialize in shows that look quite pretty despite not having specially good animation, but the PV looks like a bit of a step back in that regard. I'd be glad to be proved wrong by the show. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmTKphUxHi8 Arcana Famiglia: I'd never mock otome fans, but I'd stare in disgust at any Chiaki Kon fan. If such people even exist. In all seriousness, don't hate this show for being gay. Despise it because the most untalented person to ever work in anime is directing it. No PV yet. Who cares. Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita: Everyone's favourite Kishi is back, this time accompanied by Tanaka Romeo's prose. This could have caused an uproar a while ago, but nowadays those are names that arise as much doubt as hype. Kishi has long since stopped being the hero behind SetoHana/Sunred and is now more known for uninspired series like Kamisama Dolls or even the disaster by the name of Angel Beats. And of course, Romeo's crazy works have quite a lot of haters now that there's plenty of them available in English. We'll see how it turns out, for now I can only say for sure the show is quite good looking. And it has a Nakahara lead. That's important. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwP3A9ARW4E Chitose get you!: Boring 4koma about a little girl who wants to get in someone's pants being made into yet another 5-minutes-show. Mildly interested about whether Oonuma really isn't involved in a SILVER LINK show or if they don't bother listing him anymore. No PV because it would be longer than one episode. Muvluv Alternative Total Eclipse: Oh boy. I, as many Muvluv fans, want to like this show. Actively. But the show is spending as much energy, if not more, on being unlikable. It takes a lot to ignore the terrible staff working on this. Not so much the fact that the mecha will be CGi, which is sadly becoming a given in anime. But after seeing the trailer, how is one supposed to be optimistic? Panning abuse, mouthflapping, hideous character designs, terrible palette... CGi stops being an issue when you have 2D animation that manages to look worse. Even leaving the visuals aside I'm having trouble finding any reason to get excited about it. As a Muvluv fan I'm not going to be the one complaining about TE being a TSF plastic kit ad, but relying so much on that certainly won't help newcomers. The fact that the story is unfinished, though, worries me. Especially knowing the staff doesn't know what to do with the ending yet. Having Kouki actively working on the show reassures me ever so slightly, but he can't magically fix everything. He wants to make a good, standalone anime to be able to fund a Muvluv trilogy adaptation. Will he manage it? Probably not. Then again, with such stellar voice cast you can just listen to the audio and pretend it's a Drama CD. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLfDKNcouBA Uta Koi: Josei by the Nodame S1 team? Sold. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-wbpmDjDpY Yuru Yuri♪♪: S1 was a rather well produced show that used the same jokes over and over. It would be dumb to expect anything but that from its sequel. By the way, the girls trying to figure out how to pronounce the show's title in the PV was funnier than most jokes in the series. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47jCEQ7cJUo Binbougami Ga!: Uninteresting manga being adapted by average staff. Check it if you're a diehard Gintama fan, ignore otherwise. I'm not willing to read more than one chapter to find out if it gets better. PV "comming soon" http://www.binbogamiga.net/movie/ Moyashimon Returns: Dude it's fucking Moyashimon what am I even supposed to say. If you haven't watched the first season you're quite bad at this anime thing. PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhjvCtS4KEI |
