For those who missed it, we were hit with some malware. We've cleaned things up and changed passwords and all that stuff, and hopefully we're secure again, but if anything starts seeming odd please yell about it here or on IRC.

To anyone who visited on the 14th or early 15th, you might want to do a virus scan if you haven't already.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Reason to believe malware was served to end user? If so what kind would be useful.
>> No.47949
What we got hit with was Blacole (Trojan.JS.Blacole.Gen) which tries to find vulnerabilities in the user's browser and deliver other malware, and as far as I understand it doesn't have a single consistent payload so unfortunately I can't say exactly what.

More info on Blacole here (as well as observed payloads): http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/threat/encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Blacole

I ran scans and found nothing, for what it's worth. I guess my browser is bulletproof

Mine didn't find anything either.

I run Noscript, you can't infect me, Jones.

I'm kind of dumb, so I don't understand how you could get a virus from this site. It's not like the SA forums or something where there's regularly ads with malicious flash stuff buried in them, right?
>> No.47958
Someone broke in (probably Aya set the password to "12345") and put that sort of malicious junk on the site.

Oh, I guess I missed it. I'm pretty lucky because I'm usually here all day! Is there anything else we should be worried about from all this?
>> No.47960
Actually, there are some things that can infect you even with noscript.
>> No.47961
That's amazing, I've got the same combination on my luggage!

Did anyone get anything? I can't be bothered to scan.
