Enmusubi no Youko-chan kicks off the new season. What currently passes as a chart isn't up to par, have this screen cap instead.
>>53438So yeah, I'd expected there to be *some* kind of replacement for Zana's charts...but I can't find anything except AniChart/LiveChart-type bullshit. Did image charts really go extinct?
>>53438 What's this?
I've not dropped this many shows in a row since before I can remember. Please tell me there's something worth watching this season.
>>53442 What kind of anime are you into? I'm watching Isekai Shokudou, New Game!, Teekyu and keeping tabs on Made in Abyss and Centaur no Nayami.
>>53444Well I watched the complete shit that was KNIGHT'S and that fox spirit chink show, so it can't really be helped. Autistic Fujo Football wasn't anything special but the Government Marriage show's premise is hilarious enough to warrant another episode. Meme Gambling was kinda shit and the Yokai Apartment thing feels like it's 20 years too late.
>>53447>fox spirit chink showWhat's that?
>>53449https://myanimelist.net/anime/31499/Huyao_Xiao_HongniangIt's a JP dub of some godawful China show.
>>53450 Why did it get such high ratings?
>>53451Because MAL. Nobody scores shows they drop a few episodes in, and the aggregate score is weighted to scores on completed shows. It's why some of the worst, most horribly made shows average a 6 or more. Also, GAY.
Worst thing I've tried so far is Isekai Shokudou. Kakegurui has characters being intense for no reason. It was kinda funny but it'll get old fast.Knight's & Magic is stupid. I only watched it because a few creators I like are working on it, but I don't know if I'll be able to continue.I have high hopes for Made in Abyss and Ballroom e Youkoso.
Just realized the centaur show is made by a chinese studio.
So far the only good shows are* Made in Abyss* Welcome to the Ballroom* Princess Principal
>>53456You missed a few.
>>53456Ballroom's art was aggressively fujo, I'll keep watching for now but it doesn't sit right with me.
>>53457Ah, I skipped that one because nothing with "luck and logic" in the title can possibly be good. Also skipped centaur girl for a similar reason.
And, the only good episode 1's left to look forward to are:* New Game!!* Mahoujin Guru Guru
My dick.
aho girlnot bad (not good) or maybe it is
>>53468Why is Sugita in so much this season?Him and Sawashiro must be fully booked.
I found a chart, I think it's a little outdated on some parts. But wow this season looks pretty lackluster.I'll probably give Made in Abyss, Princess Principal, and The Reflection Wave One a go. Maybe Vatican Kiseki Chousakan too. Everything else looks like generic fluff or sequels.

>>53458>Ballroom's art was aggressively fujiIt looks a bit like Fruits Basket. 10 years ago that would have been called shojo and people had the opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of jacking it to an innocent children's show. These days its just filthy fujo fodder.Have we lost something?
>>53471oh those are better. Guess I should've checked the source.Vatican Kiseki Chousakan has been pretty good so far. Two detectives from the Vatican get dispatched to a church in Central America, nominally to investigate a claim of virgin conception by a nun. Really the Vatican is more concerned with some sort of demonic talisman that they believe the other half of is somewhere in the church. As they go about their investigation, they get caught up in a series of grisly murders committed by cultists.
the eyes of Ballroom's MC remind me of some kind of animal that I can't quite lay my finger on. Maybe a slow loris or something? It's bugging me
>>53472>>53475The fucking necks and spines are killing me even more than the eyes. I think another problem is that ballroom dancing isn't as intrinsically interesting as say, baseball or basketball, or tennis.
>>53476
>>53477Is he part giraffe?
>>53478>heAnon, that's a 14 year old girl.
>>53479Oh, I thought this was the sports show with BL overtones of the season.
I'm not sure I approve of western anime memes being recycled in actual Japanese created anime content. It takes away somewhat from the exoticness factor and makes me worry that the industry has started employing weeaboos.
>>53488Not sure why you think this is of western origin. I'm pretty sure it was as big on 2ch and Futaba as it was in the west. It has a pixiv tag too https://dic.pixiv.net/a/計画通り
>>53490kinda doubt the "translator's note" from a weeb fansubber was too notable amongst the japanese on that topic, translators notes pretty much disappeared from anime as a result. its too bad, some of the better stuff would have been nearly unwatchable without the notes. yakitate japan! would have been awful without the notes, but its one of my favorites (although it kinda drags from ep 40-55, a lot of that euro tournament arc with the fucking lion was total bullshit)
>>53491The Japanese meme was just that specific face + the phrase 'keikaku doori'.
>>53491Yeah, you rarely see translator's notes anymore. It wouldn't be as fun to watch Gintama without all the notes on the cultural references.
If you are going to give her fingernails color, at least do so for all of the fingernails in the damn picture.
>>53492>The Japanese meme Right, the Japanese meme that came about as a result of a laughable screenshot posted many times to 4chan. The Deathnote anime is older than Pixiv so any Pixiv reverence is going to post-date happenings on 4chan in 2007. There is a lot of bullshit from 4chan polluting anime these days, it started with faggotry being inserted into fansubs by the likes of commie & hadena and now it has progressed to being used by the original producers of television manga. How much longer will it be before anime is little more than "4chan: the TV show Japanese edition"? How big can cancer be? Will it self destruct before it eats absolutely everything?Do you want to live in a world thats made entirely out of "hahaha i understand that reference"? I don't, I like to see something new once in a while.
>>53491Yeah, professional standard seems to have progressed towards always localizing rather than explaining now. And there's hardly any fansubbers left. It's a little bit sad.
>>53495Here's a niconico reference then:dic.nicovideo.jp/a/計画通りIt has the shift-JIS art too. Here's some parody art from 2005: http://yggygg.exblog.jp/3279385/Most of the parodies are of the manga panel not the anime. It's literally just a Death Note reference. Stop reading so much into something that's not there.
>>53501fake news
Keeping it a bit too real.
>>53504I'm enjoying this show far more than I expected to.
This is easily one of the sexiest mothers to date.
wow
>>53567The real question: Is his neck always that long, or does it change in size from one scene to another?
>>53568In my opinion, his jaw/chin/whatever is not jutting out enough, in addition to the neck being one entire head length long. He wouldn't look so much like Beaky Buzzard if he had more of a jaw. Wonky jaws are endemic to the anime industry, it's not just this show. That's why it's so refreshing to watch Ideon despite its Tomino-ness, because Tomonori Kogawa knew how to draw a jaw.
>>53567very graceful looking
>>53567The sad thing is the show is painfully droll shounen fare.
>>53574drolladjective \ˈdrōl\ : having a humorous, whimsical, or odd quality
If the spoilers are to be true, and Riko's seiyuu can perform as well as she did in ep 6, next episode should have some gut wrenching screams in them. Also, the recap movie...
>>53575Yes, I was implying that the show was boringly pleasant, inoffensively humdrum.
>>53582droll doesn't mean boring.
>>53576Certainly did not disappoint.
>>53585That was brutal.
this went very much more /u/ than I was expecting.
>>53575its not out the question that the entire aim of this anime get laughs out of the ridiculous artwork. in fact i think that given what we've seen so far, assuming any other aims would be unrealistic.
>>53585Solidified Made as this season's AOTS, not that there was a huge amount it was competing with in the first place.>>53584Reading comprehension.
>>53594vocabulary
