Once again, the old thread is on auto-sage.
And to celebrate the Theatre release of Nanoha Reflections, the next movie is announced: Nanoha Detonation. And they are doing the roadshow thing.
>>53485With a questionable new Nanoha Design.
>>53486>WE /m/ NAOhey, why not.
>>53485As was pretty fun, but other than that I wish Nanoha would fuck off. How the hell this shit is still going into 2018 is baffling.
YOU HAD ONE JOB. ONE FUCKING JOB.
>>53283Well, after how much worse pocket full of rainbows was compared to the original, I was hoping for something more like the original, but with a more modern video quality.I guess that's what I deserve for getting my hopes up.
God, what a steaming pile of shite those Kizumonogatari movies were. I saw the second one in theatres, and I literally walked out half way through.
>>53669Would you care to explain why?
>>53673 As with most Gataris and seinens in general, it was really vapid. A bunch of discordant motifs and tropes haphazardly thrown together, and they don't even have the dignity of pretending like it's ironic anymore. Overall, I think Shaft since Madoka. That was the last of the kind of visual motifs (most notably, the collage style and, in the context of Madoka, the gothic architecture) that made Shaft so endearing and subversive. And that isn't to say that Monogatari s1 didn't have its share of subversion or whatever, but the novelty wears off after a dozen seasons or however long it's been on air. It definitely feels like a dozen. It's amazing how you can stretch out such a shallow, simple plot with so much filler without even being baroque or verbose in a kitschy, charming way. And talk about gratuitous. How can a film be so unenjoyably violent? It's like Michael Bay's Transformer films, the first one I saw with my nephews. Just nauseating. And this is coming from someone who is in absolute ecstasy watching Gaspar Noe's early films. Carne` is easily one of my favorite films of all time.
I think Shaft's been dead since Madoka.*And I don't know if it was in Carne or not, but one of my favorite Noe scenes is the one where a horse gives birth to a mare. I would rather watch an animal giving birth than watch the third Kizumonogatari movie. Or a pig getting slaughtered with one of those pellet guns like in Benny's Video. I would rather be slaughtered with one of those pellet guns like in Benny's Video than watch any of the Kizumonogatari movies again.
>>53676I remember reading a while ago from a supposed inside source that Shinbo was rapidly losing interest in the Monogatari franchise, but it was making people so much money and was relatively easy to keep churning out that his hands were tied.
Its out. Hopefully it won't disappoint.
>>53935The story felt a bit rushed and it needed more lighter moments. It could of also used more naked lolis.
>>53936Very true, but it did have the blurred out tentacle scene in the begining. You have to give some credit to that.I'm curious how well this is doing sales wise, and what else they can squeeze out before they make a movie(s) about StrikerS.
I need a bishamon in my life
