What's wrong with eroge walkthroughs?
I just want to read the story with all its endings. Wasting hours figuring out which combination of choices unlock X ending doesn't seem very fun.

Older games can be that way (fuck you, ONE). Other times what ending you get can rest entirely on seemingly arbitrary choices that shouldn't have any relevance to the plot. Mostly you're right though.

There are exceptions...(The paradox end especially is fun. Definitely worth it though as you manage to completely fuck up the story in a way that makes perfect sense.)

The other day I decided to read Kick-Ass on a whim.

I didn't like it at all. The plot was ridiculous and nonsensical, and the extreme glorification of violence was actually rather disturbing. I didn't care for the art, either; everything looked really ugly (although it was nice that it was entirely in color).

From what I've gathered, Kick-Ass was received fairly well. Should I just take this to mean that graphic novels simply aren't for me?

Not very into western comics but I've been meaning to read this one for a long time. I really enjoy the concept of Fables and a lot of the characters, but after spending my weekend burning through it, issue 50 really waned my interest in continuing. I had already heard about this particular problem a lot of people seem to have with the comic, but I didn't think I'd find it as repulsive as I did. I understand that, for better or for worse, an author's views are reflected in his work, and that's fine. It's the way it was done in this case what isn't.

That aside, I really hate some of the decisions Willingham made with the story as well as the characterization of certain characters. I'm not in love with the art either. Buckingham's work is mostly sloppy, with mediocre understanding of anatomy. He does a terrible job drawing some of the MAIN characters and he makes a pretty shameless use of copy and paste to boot, sometimes not even from his own drawings. I don't pay attention to who colors (total crap most of the time) and inks, but I've noticed Leialoha is more or less a regular inker. He started pretty shitty but has gotten better over time. I really wish Lan Medina was the main artist, I enjoyed his work during the first arc and the Two-Part Caper particularly. Sadly it seems I've gone past his last guest appearance.

The thing that drew me to this comic was James Jean's work on the covers, and it seems to be the best to come out of it. That, and Wolf Among Us it seems, considering all the positive feedback I've heard about it.

I'm quite fond of Batman myself. My favorite is the whole No Man's Land story thingy; I like Batman the most when it doesn't focus on Batman.
