Penny Arcade is pretty much all I read, and even then not very often. I read MegaTokyo for the longest time (who didn't?) but got fed up with it eventually.

Does anyone read Drowtales here?
I know there's a lot of hate for it in /tg/ for focusing on a "race of mary sues", but I think it makes for a fun fantasy tale.

And the art is really nice.

We'll put subjective opinions aside, then. I have listed the concerns I have regarding the currently cited study in >>13382. I'd be interested to read all other research you can reference, especially anything suggesting that responsible use of LSD could lengthen your lifespan.

http://www.healthfinder.gov/news/newsstory.aspx?docID=637136
>> No.13435
Yeah another major problem with that other study is it doesn't take into consideration frequency of use, or even amount used. With alcohol it's easy to drink an amount that won't affect you at all, or maybe will only give you a buzz, but as far as I know people don't consume other drugs in that way.

Also after looking at the study more I found this somewhat important part: "direct comparison of the scores for tobacco and alcohol with those of other drugs is not possible since the fact that they are legal could affect their harms in various ways, especially through easier availability." Though the researchers go on to ignore their own advice many times.

Would it be pathetic to go to a concert alone? I've never been to any before, but one band that I kind of like is coming to my city, and I want to hear a band playing live at least once in my life.

For me, the fun of concerts is hearing the music you're used to hearing in a different way. Overall I prefer just listening to recorded music, but live music is a very nice change of pace. Depending on the artist, they might also play unrecorded songs.

And I don't think it's pathetic to go to concerts alone. I always go to concerts alone.

>>13284
If you don't have anything to do that day, and it's not too expensive, why not just give it a try? It'll be a new experience, and if it really is just not for you, you can just not visit any other concerts after that. But if you have nothing to lose, why not give it a chance? You might end up liking it. I know I like concerts, despite usually not liking social events.

>If you don't have anything to do that day, and it's not too expensive, why not just give it a try?

This. OP, unless the ticket cost is going to hurt your wallet you will regret not going. They don't lock the doors when the music starts. Give it a shot. Concert experiences I've had alone have ranged from pretty good to awesome. Some of these were bands I knew but didn't really listen to. Even if you only like the band so much, it'll probably be really fun.

The fact that you made this thread means that you want to go. You will never know whether or not it's something you enjoy until you try it. Don't psych yourself out.
>> No.13292
It's not pathetic. I prefer to go with friends, but in the long run, whether or not the night is fun is entirely up to you.

The only band (Cannibal Corpse) I've ever seen live I went by myself. I didn't have any friends who were into that sort of music and saw no reason to let that stop me. It didn't affect my enjoyment of it.

Then they came for copyright infringing websites after bypassing due process, and I didn't speak up because I thought it served Amerikkka right.

>9/20/2010--Introduced.
>Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act - Amends the federal criminal code to authorize the Attorney General (AG) to commence an action for injunctive relief against a domain name used by an Internet site that is "dedicated to infringing activities," even where such a domain name is not located in the United States. Defines an Internet site that "dedicated to infringing activities" as a site that is: (1) subject to civil forfeiture; (2) designed primarily to offer goods or services in violation of federal copyright law; or (3) selling counterfeit goods. Requires the AG to maintain a public listing of domain names that the Department of Justice (DOJ) determines are dedicated to infringing activities but for which the AG has not filed an action. Allows parties to petition the AG to remove such a domain name from the list and obtain judicial review of the final determination in a civil action.

>Once the Justice Department has the order, it could shut down the site by requiring the U.S. registrar to suspend the domain name.
>If the registry is located outside the United States, the U.S. Attorney General could go after the website by requiring U.S.-based Internet service providers, payment processors and advertising networks to stop doing business with it.

I always sleep without a pillow, but I've been sleeping with one recently as I had jaw surgery a couple days ago. It feels weird, not lying flat.

I got in the shower and left my towel outside the bathroom. I realized this as soon as I stepped in the shower, and immediately reacted by stepping out to get it. I had gotten wet, so I dripped water everywhere. Since I was already out, I proceeded to get the towel and then get back into the shower...with the towel still in hand. I was sober. orz
