A friend who browses /r9k/ offered me this useful factsheet.
>> No.13126
These things are invariably made by people younger and/or more stupid than the average /bun/ denizen.
- 4chan is not a lifestyle, it's just a website. If you feel the need to 'quit it' because of the impact it's having on your life then you've got more shit going on than simply stopping going there would fix.
- I didn't know that 'alpha' meant 'being generally healthy' these days. I must be behind the times.
- Getting a job is not something that anyone can help you with, short of them physically offering you employment.
- lol girlfriends. Sex is not the holy grail these charts always seem to assume people believe it is; it's fun and all I guess, but nowhere near worth the hassle of a relationship. If you're in it for the companionship instead then must have some shitty friends, I'd suggest fixing that before you go looking for a girl.

tl;dr Why would someone willingly browse /r9k/?

I think China/Taiwan has the right to fight for those islands. Those islands are very far away from Japan. Its as outrageous as Britain laying claim to the Falkland Islands as a former colonial outpost.

So, the Iraq War Logs have been leaked. (See http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/22/iraq-war-logs-military-leaks or any of the other countless news site if you don't know what I'm talking about.)

What does everybody think? Is anybody here surprised at all?

Total deaths by terrorist attacks in the Western world in 2010:
France: 1 (ETA, not a middle east terrorist group)
Bosnia and Herzegovina: 1 (details unknown, source went 404)
Kosovo: 1 (demonstration against government office due to territory conflicts; details unknown as source went 404)
Three attacks, of which two have been confirmed as being completely unrelated to anything in the Middle East, and the other probably being unrelated as well. I don't think we really have anything to fear about terrorists. Hell, the Western governments kill more people IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES, let alone outside of it 'to protect us from the dangers of terrorist attacks'.

Oh, and the CIVILIAN death toll in Iraq in that same timespan? 1,989.

I don't know, but I think that even slightly pressuring the government to stop killing innocents will save many more lives than preventing terrorists from obtaining war logs.
>> No.13091
>>13089
On one hand you have an army occupying a country, where there are insurgents still running around between the people killing soldiers, on the other you have a death toll of 3 with no sources from any of them.

Are you retarded?

>I don't know, but I think that even slightly pressuring the government to stop killing innocents will save many more lives than preventing terrorists from obtaining war logs.

Do you have any idea why so many civilians died? It's because the terrorists meddle between them, dress like them, and act like them. It's not in any government's interest to kill innocent people, mainly because they're not worth the bullets shot if they don't represent any kind of threat.

These logs will be used as a tool to recruit and brainwash people who hate the west, implying that they'll automatically go around and kill people is just jumping to premature conclusions.

They don't kill because they have to, they kill because they're trigger-happy. "Come on, let us shoot!"
Not to mention that this entire thing happened because SOME COUNTRY wanted to invade Iraq. Oh, but it was justified because they had WMDs, right? At the time they declared war, there was no proof they had WMDs. To this day, no WMDs have been found.

As for the terrorist death toll, the burden of proof really isn't on my side: you go prove that more than three people died from terrorist attacks in the Western world in 2010. (Bonus points if any of said attacks were actually executed by terrorist groups from the Middle East.)

Why is Curly crying?
>> No.12960
Because it hates being alive. Her life is pure misery.

Every day, she wakes up, and hates the grime in her eyes. She hates moving out of bed to the bathroom and ends up stubbing her toe. She hates opening up the bathroom drawer to take medication for her depression. She hates having to brush her teeth with that sour tasting toothpaste, and that rigid toothbrush. She hates washing her face over and over, and still feel dirty. She hates seeing her demented bangs cover her forehead, and her oddly shaped eyebrows mocking her with ill-symmetry. She hates getting dressed, and getting ready for work at a place where she knows nobody like her. she hates her co-workers who talk behind her back. She hates the boss who is hitting on her and tries to fondle her at every chance available. She hates the fact that she can't do anything about it, because without this job she would be on the streets. She hates her parents for abandoning her. She hates, her mother who abused her, and her father who was an alcoholic and committed suicide. She hates her friends who betrayed her.

But most of all, she hates herself. She hates herself because she's too afraid to end it. She's crying because she's a coward.

M-my name is Yuno, and I think every single one of you should try harder! I mean... you're... you're all so slow and lazy and... N-NOT THAT I THINK THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THAT but I... I think you need to do better! You're the people who've everyone's forgotten and I... I think you have the great potential to do what's right! I mean have any of you had any friends? I mean, I guess it's fun talking to people online, but you need to make honest friends! Please I don't want to see you start getting angry at each other for no reason.

Please don't ignore me. I know I have my own problems. I have a lot of them in fact. I was invited into an art school I don't deserve, and made a bunch of friends who treat me better than they should. What do you do?, other than "fapping" and "being so ronrey" which I don't quite understand, I'm sorry. I also don't get that good of grades, and I have a very good neighbor who's fun to be around (she just ate my entire supply of noodles, she's very short on cash I'm afraid). But as I was saying, you all must try and be better people! ... please? Thank you for listening, I hope.

This image is related too: It's me and Miyachan.

Anybody who posts here is contributing their thoughts and ideas. We all participate in this community called /bun/.

When I said that you are all good people, I obviously wasn't taking into account your personal circumstances, or individual worth to society. I based that statement off my interaction with all of you on this forum. Anonymous discussion is the freest method of discussion, where one's character is truly allowed to shine. It doesn't matter if you haven't worked a day in your life; at the core, you aren't bad people at all. Sure, you may be jobless weirdos who obsess over imaginary little girls, but you're all good people nonetheless.

It's fine if you don't believe me, but that's what I honestly think.

I sympathize with you, bro. But keep it up. If you work things out right during and after school, with a nice degree you can find a job that will give you more time than you know what to do with. At that point, you'll both have the income and the time to do what you want! You're not "turning into a normalfag." It's not your desires or mentality that's changing, it's the amount of discretionary time that you have. Don't worry about it, and keep going. NEET-dom is attractive, but it can be harder to maintain than your average job, and is not a good long-term plan. The media you're missing now won't go anywhere.
