Do you watch any western television? A friend of mine got me interested in Six Feet Under recently and it is really excellent.

Bullshit excuse if I've ever heard one. You've got internet.

But I don't feel like downloading live-action stuff when I can be watching anime instead.

Six Feet Under is probably better than 95% of the anime I've seen.

Eh, the first season was alright from what I remember.
I haven't watched much IRL TV for years though, last few things I saw were Sopranos and West Wing, and I didn't even finish them.

Last Western TV show I watched was probably Heroes, I liked it but never got round to finishing it after the newest season.

Actually that's a lie, last Western TV show I watched was a Glaswegian show, Burnistoun.

Western television is a LOT better than japanese television. Its funny to see all these weebs not even know that western tv is in a golden age of well made drama.

Breaking bad
Dexter
boardwalk empire
the walking dead
Mad Men
Weeds

I watch Breaking Bad, House, Burn Notice, and Walking Dead

I've only seen about half of those, but I've heard good things about the others. Would also add The Shield to that list.

Which is great. That is, if you enjoy live dramas. Or television at all, really.

This. The shows you listed might have radically different premises and might be acted and produced well, but to my casual eye it's all the same shit.
I watched a couple episodes of Dexter, Mad Men and House and the dialogue was almost predictable because of my watching things like West Wing and ER a decade earlier. It's enjoyable, sure; but I couldn't follow more than one or two of these series at a time without getting fed up.

I watch Dexter, House, Grey's Anatomy and Battlestar Galactica.

I watch House and Fringe regularly.

I like western shows. Recently I've seen Dexter, Justified, The Walking Dead, Deadwood, Battlestar Galactica, and Twin Peaks. The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and Burn Notice are next on my list.

Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) from parks & rec is absolutely hilarious and probably the only reason I watch the show. Besides that I watch Dexter & Adventure Time and I'm debating catching up on Breaking Bad in time for the new season but that seems unlikely atm.
