Crunchyroll, mainly. If you're in the US, there's also Funimation. There were other US-exclusive sites, but I'm not sure they still exist (I'm not in the US).

Crunchyroll only has SD quality for free members, and new episodes are exclusive to premium members for a week. Not sure about Funimation's business model.

Yes, Crunchyroll has its disadvantages, and its community on the forums, in user profiles and so on is terrible. But I still like it for watching anime, and I've rarely had any problems with the comment sections of videos.

I'm afraid of even refreshing /bun/ nowadays.
>> No.54736
>>54735
I must admit: Caching sometimes goes weird and doesn't give me the newest posts, which is fixed by just refreshing the page, but when there's CP spam on the page I avoid refreshing lest the repeated downloads of CP images gives my ISP/whoever else is running detection algorithms on the access logs gets the wrong idea. Posting is a bit awkward for the same reason, as it also involves a refresh.
>> No.54737
>>54736
Do you really think that your ISP or the NSA cares how many times you refresh bun?
>> No.54738
>>54737
Perhaps not now, but they are definitely logging it. And when the great pedo witch hunt of 2025 comes I don't want to be on the list of suspicious people.

You have to understand how easy it is to identify (or in this case misidentify) behavior through algorithms. They've been making tons of progress with that through social media sites, and we don't know how far the technology is so far, but we do know that both governments and companies log every tiny bit of data they can get their hands on. And even if you won't be prosecuted for it today, evidence collected today can be used against you in the future.

Yes, I'm a bit paranoid and refreshing CP spam probably won't cause anything to be logged due to its dynamic nature (I don't think they can tell it's CP without more effort). But I still feel very uncomfortable doing it.

Been going to bun every day since the night it was made, but there's so many FBI honey pots posted on /general/ now that I just don't think it's worth the risk anymore.

>> No.54748

Honest legit real question: Have weebs and otaku always been so fucking gay?

I have also noticed an increase in yuri, but I very much doubt it has anything to do with SJWs (they don't really have much influence on anime and other Japanese weeb stuff). It's just a form of pandering; adding lesbians greatly increases the appeal for yuri fans (a group of significant size nowadays) without harming the appeal for non-fans much.

Naturally, this increased exposure also gets more people into yuri, and so the cycle continues. In twenty years, there will be no more male characters in anime. And it will be glorious.

Fetish, yes. Genuine loving and romantic relationships between two females are nothing more than a sexual display meant to arouse men.
Social justice, in terms of promoting and accepting such homosexual relationships has existed long before the internet coined the term as a feminist bogeyman to blame for censored video game releases.

Anime and porn has had two girls fuck each other since time immemorial, it's only in the last 10 years or so that canon and fanon yuri outside of this cheap titillation factor has become so mainstream and normal. Yuri is the hot new thing all of a sudden and as >>55324 said its perpetuated itself for long enough that it's starting to become dominant.

What I don't understand is why you would complain about it. If the pendulum were swinging in the other direction and gay anal sex was being shoved in everyone's faces, sure, that's a reason to gripe (it's disgusting, after all), but there is literally nothing wrong with more girl-on-girl. Replacing the "whiny Japanese highschool everyman" harem protagonist that probably nobody identifies with anyway with a cute girl can't possibly go wrong.

Goggles have nothing to do with it. Who makes a better hero, the Homunator or, uh, Tsukune Aono?
Harem anime protagonists have no personality by default, because it allows for self-insert fantasies, but that makes them forgettable as hell. By contrast, anime girls at least get archetypes. This is no contest.

I forgot that all anime with men in it is harem trash, and all female-lead shows are highbrow masterpieces. Of course Spike Speigal is a less compelling protagonist than Himawari Hinata, the vast gulf in the quality of their respective shows attests to that.

Stuff like tumblr and twitter are most fitted to the screen of a smart device with their short impluses of information that tickle your brain just like our endless refreshing of imageboards. Download every app for every social media account, just avoid the facebook app. The same goes for communication apps like Whatsapp, Telegram and Discord.
