Hey /bun/, have you ever thought about that one pokemon, Kangaskhan, how it always had its baby, but the baby never actually had it's own species or pre-evolution?Here's what I think.I beleive that all baby Kangaskhans are actually Cubones. The reason you don't see any Kangaskhan babies alone in the wild is because they are being nurtured in their mother's pouch. Many baby Pokemon evolve with friendship and attention, (Such as Pichu, Togepi, Magby, Elekid, etc), so it follows that in order for a Kangaskhan's baby Cubone to actually evolve into a Kangaskhan, it needs love and attention from its mother. However, as it says in Cubone's Pokedex, it is a lonely Pokemon that became solitary after the loss of its mother. It also wears it's mother's skull. So in the event that the mother Kangaskhan were to die, the Pokemon would be forced to live on its own, as a Cubone. It is also worth noting that Nintendo may have intended Cubone to involve into Kangaskhan at some point, but scrapped the idea, due to the fact that there was no way to really establish a "friendship" type evolution in the original Red and Blue Pokemon. Instead of wasting time removing the incomplete code from the game, the incomplete Pokemon was shifted into a Pokemon address with a value that wasn't assigned an in-game Pokedex number. This garbage Pokemon was Missingno, also known as (m). Anyone who has ever captured a Missingno, (Which you shouldn't, it can mess up your game) would know that, upon leveling up, Missingno will evolve into Kangaskhan.Anyway, what do you think? I'd say it makes sense.
Copypasta, but>It is also worth noting that Nintendo may have intended Cubone to involve into Kangaskhan at some point, but scrapped the idea, due to the fact that there was no way to really establish a "friendship" type evolution in the original Red and Blue Pokemon. What Pokemon Missingno. evolves into depends on your name. And shifting the Pokemon to a different address takes more time than just erasing the Pokemon. Not to mention Cubone evolves into Marowak. It would be an interesting theory, if it weren't for Marowaks giving birth to Cubones, as evidenced by Mr. Fuji's Cubone in Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, which was born from a Marowak. You could argue that the first Cubone was a lost Kanghaskan kid, but you'd be venturing into fanon territory in doing so.
Does anybody know a good QR code reader for PC?
>>7958「Do you like this school?」「Huh...?」 No, she wasn`t asking me. She was asking someone in her mind. I wonder how that guy (or girl) responded. 「I really, really do. But, nothing... can remain the same. Even fun things and happy things. Nothing stays that way forever.」 With great difficulty, she continues to speak. 「Even then, can you still bring yourself to like this place?」 ........ 「I...」「It`s fine if you find it, right?」「Huh...?」 Surprised, she looks at me. As if she believed that she was alone up until now. 「It`s fine if you find the next thing that`s fun or happy, right? It`s wrong to think that there`s only one such thing that`ll do that.」「.........」 That`s right. Times when we were innocent and naive... We were all once like that. 「Come on, let`s go.」

It's the 6th Gen, and Kangaskhan still hatches from the egg with a baby in its pouch.
>>38865Only 6th?Surely there have been more than 5 sequels to RBY?Cool bump btw.
>>38877No, Pokemon X/Y just came out and it's still only Gen 6. They didn't even reach a thousand pokemon species yet, can you believe that?

>>38882Damn man, look at that girl. I should get back into Pokemon if you know what I mean.
>>38885You mean you want to be best friends with her?
>>38894A whole lot of befriending.
When I played Pokemon Blue the first time way back in the day I was 12-13 and didn't understand the type weaknesses. I reloaded and reloaded to get past Misty with my Charmeleon a million times, thoroughly outraged that she kept getting constant critical hits against me.I must have gotten past her when Starmie used Swift or just missed a lot in a row against me, but looking back I was a fucking retard to not figure this shit out at that age.
>>38907Did the same thing happen with brock
>>38908Brock doesn't use many Rock-type moves despite having Rock-type Pokemon, so you'll only have trouble inflicting damage. Misty is the first leader that will inflict major damage on type disadvantage.
test test, posting on /bun/ with my 3ds
